A lot of websites sell furniture made with flat weave rattan because it’s cheaper, but flat weave lacks the durability, comfort, and premium finish of higher-quality alternatives.
At Duxburys, we don’t stock flat weave at all. Everything you see in our showroom has been chosen because it meets our high standards for comfort, longevity, and appearance. When you visit, the difference is obvious straight away.
Compare Materials Side by Side
Our showroom allows you to compare materials properly, something you just can’t do online.
We use aluminium frames rather than steel wherever possible. Steel may be cheaper, but it’s heavy and will eventually rust. Aluminium is lightweight, rust-free, low maintenance, and far more durable when finished correctly. All of our aluminium furniture features fully welded frames and multiple high-quality paint coatings to ensure it lasts for years.
Aluminium is also the eco-friendly choice, as it is infinitely recyclable – something that’s increasingly important to many of our customers.
Premium Rattan You Can Trust
A common issue with cheaper garden furniture is the use of recycled plastic rattan. While it reduces cost, PVC and PU rattan will crack, fade, and break down over time.
We only use premium PE synthetic rattan, which is fully weatherproof and designed to stay outside all year round without going brittle. In our showroom, you can see the different rattan weaves up close, including the use of full round weave on edges and high-contact areas – a detail that adds comfort, durability, and a truly premium finish.
If a set only comes with a one-year warranty, that tells you everything you need to know. We believe in selling products we’re confident in long term.
A Showroom Built Around Choice and Confidence
Our 20,000 sq ft showroom is open seven days a week and specialises only in garden furniture, pergolas, and parasols. We’re not a garden centre – this is all we do.
We currently have over 270 sets in stock, with more than 180 on display, and by 2026 we’ll offer around 400 different sets. That means you can compare styles, sizes, materials, and layouts all in one place – no need to travel from showroom to showroom.
